Most visitors need a visa to enter Vietnam. Citizens of many countries can apply for an e-Visa online, valid for up to 90 days single or multiple entry, or a visa on arrival with pre-approval letter. A handful of nationalities, mostly within ASEAN and a few European countries, enjoy short visa-free stays.
