Day 1

Overnight train to Lao Cai

Free day in Hanoi until your evening soft-sleeper train departs for Lao Cai, gateway to the Sapa highlands.

Day 2

Arrive Sapa, trek to Lao Chai & Ta Van

Meals: B,L,D
Arrive Lao Cai at dawn and transfer to Sapa for breakfast. Trek roughly 10km through the Muong Hoa Valley's rice terraces to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages, ending at a Hmong family homestay.

Day 3

Giang Ta Chai to Ban Ho, back to Sapa town

Meals: B,L
Continue trekking through bamboo forest and along the Muong Hoa river to Ban Ho village, then transfer back to Sapa town for a hot shower and free evening at the night market.

Day 4

Fansipan cable car & return to Hanoi

Meals: B
Ride the world's longest non-stop three-rope cable car to the summit of Fansipan, the 'Roof of Indochina', before the afternoon train back to Hanoi.
